This is a Whole Baked Chicken along with some baked vegetables and lemon sauce ! This can be an awesome source of our Protein intake. I’ll tell you how to make it . First of all you’ll need an electric or an gas oven. In micro oven, If it is a convection one then it might help to bake .
So all we need is
– a whole chicken skin on
– about 1 tbsp salt
– 1 tsp black pepper powder
– lemon zest of 1 lemon
– garlic powder half tsp (optional)
Mix all the spices together.
Wash and pat dry the chicken and poke in different places with a sharp thin knife and rub the spice all over the skins and also inside the cavity.
Now bake in a pre heard oven for 50 min to 1 hour in 220 or 230 deg .
You can choose vegetables according to your taste and steam them . Then mix salt and black pepper powder with the vegetables and put them beside the chicken just before 10 mins before the chicken is done .
For the Lemon sauce
– lemon juice of 1 whole lemon
– flour half tsp (roasted)
– salt to taste
– the juice of the chicken and vegetables
In a nonstick pan fry the flour then add the juice of the chicken and vegetables ( this juice will be very less in amount. Add half a cup of warm water on the tray once the chicken and veggies are taken off. Mix the skins of chicken that is sticked over the oven tray and use this juice to prepare the sauce)
Add the lemon juice , salt and black pepper powder to taste . Cook it for a while stirring frequently . Take of the flame when the sauce little thickens.
Ready to eat . Cut your piece , take off the skin( while dieting its important ) , take some baked vegetables , dip in the lemon sauce and take ur bite !
